Lufkin woman shares 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' experience
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Miranda "Mandy" Demoines shared her story about being discharged from the work she loved because of her sexual orientation.
http://www.ktre.com/Global/story.asp?S=13711411
A person can be discharged from the military for adultery as well. This woman could have just as easily been discharged for having an affair with a married person.
She has no ground to stand on. Her point is mute. Even if DADT hadn't existed at the time of her discharge she would have been thrown out anyway. Will we vote on adultery next?
This article is typical liberal spin BS. Obviously, Ms. Demoines had some moral issues and deserved to be discharged.

Ask yourself one simple question ....
Who is better to run a military? A politician or a General? What did the Generals say about DADT?
What did our politicians do and not all politicians either, just the liberals neo-socialist democRATS who have time and time again ruled against the will of the Generals and the American people.
The military is not a platform to express civil liberties and rights. That is what we have this great nation for. The military is there to ensure that we keep this great nation so that we will have a place to express these civil rights.

You realize that most generals favored DADT repeal, as did the majority of Americans, right?
Why? Because it's a blatantly discriminatory policy that the rest of the developed world did away with decades ago. Guess what, it's repealed and very few people, inside or outside of the military, care. In 10 years no one at all will care.
As usual, America lags decades behind the rest of the first world in social progress because the south and midwest are overran by xenophobic, undereducated, bigoted rednecks that zealously form strong, emotionally reactive opinions about despite being embarrassingly uninformed.
Also, it's "moot", not "mute".
Please tell me why East Texas is so consumed by ignorance.

Personally, I don't care about gays being gay and I don't care what the American people think about gays in the military. My point was simple, I believe the Generals and Chiefs should be able to run a military as they see fit and the information I have read suggest that the majority opposed the repeal.
